First reported in Puerto Rico in the mid-1990s, the Chupacabra was blamed for a string of livestock deaths marked by strange puncture wounds. Descriptions range from a spiny reptilian biped to a mangy, dog-like animal, and sightings have since spread from Puerto Rico to Texas to Chile — proof that a good monster travels well.
